Essence Festival: Designing a PR News Center and Information Hub

Essence Magazine curates editorial content for the African American woman, with topics ranging from fashion and beauty to entertainment and business. Its annual Essence Festival celebrates the continuing strides of black women in today’s society, attracting artists, entrepreneurs and fans from around the world.

Increase the usability of Essence’s PR News Center with user-friendly navigation tools and a responsive website.

5Line created an engaging and seamless user experience with the use of video, social media plugins and quality content.  An upgrade to the media-hosting capabilities allowed photographers and journalists to upload imagery during the festival’s live events. Sponsored gatherings were also advertised, driving awareness to external links and flyers.
